Charter House's mission is to provide the highest quality care. We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist / Quality Assurance (IP/QA) Nurse to partner with leadership in advancing infection prevention, resident safety, and quality improvement initiatives across our senior living community.
The IP/QA Nurse collaborates closely with interdisciplinary leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate the Infection Prevention and Control Program and Quality Improvement Program. This role serves as a clinical leader, educator, and consultant, ensuring best practices that protect residents, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee infection prevention and control activities to reduce the risk of infection transmission

Monitor, analyze, and manage quality measures, indicators, and outcomes

Plan, implement, and evaluate educational and clinical training programs
-
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to infection prevention, quality assurance, and risk management

Ensure compliance with evidence‑based practices, regulatory requirements, and consensus guidelines

Utilize computer hardware, software, and data systems to support daily work and quality monitoring
-
Effectively lead teams, committees, and workgroups across the organization
-
Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to nursing and interdisciplinary staff
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications
You must be a graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) to be considered for this position.
- If the nursing program was not ACEN or CCNE accredited, a minimum of one year of RN experience within the past five years in an applicable care setting is required
Licensure / Certification

Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network
-
Willingness to complete a basic infection prevention and control training course within the first six months if not already completed
-
CIC certification required within three years of hire if not previously certified
-
Expected to maintain CIC certification once achieved
Additional Qualifications

Minimum of three years of clinical healthcare experience preferred

Long‑term care experience preferred

Experience in infection prevention and quality assurance preferred

Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred

Master's degree in nursing or public health preferred

Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment

Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and prioritize data

Experience developing and implementing infection prevention and quality improvement programs
-
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across the organization

Strong computer literacy and proficiency with software applications

Experience training or educating others

Proven project leadership, organizational, and planning skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
