Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to serve as the clinical leader for a residential care facility supporting adults with mental health and chronic medical needs. This role is ideal for a hands‑on nurse leader who values resident relationships, thrives in a close‑knit environment, and is comfortable balancing clinical oversight with day‑to‑day care delivery.
The RN Nurse Manager provides clinical leadership across resident care, medication management, staff supervision, care coordination, and regulatory readiness; while fostering a compassionate, family‑style culture where resident dignity, safety, and quality of life are the top priorities.
The client is also open to seeing Part Time candidates (19 hours/week)
Day-to-Day:
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all resident care (44 residents; capacity up to 50)
Ensure residents are clinically stable, supported, and medically optimized
Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs/attendants (10 total staff: 8 FT, 2 PT)
Oversee care plans and ensure updates are completed in compliance with regulations
Maintain accountability for medication room integrity, inventory, and compliance
Oversee high‑volume medication administration accuracy
Communicate with physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, conservators, and external providers
Transcribe and implement physician orders; ensure proper documentation
Provide hands‑on nursing care as needed (wound care, diabetic testing, nebulizers, vaccines)
Assess residents returning from hospitalizations and coordinate follow‑up care
Coordinate referrals (PT, home care, specialists, behavioral health services)
Lead monthly in‑services and ensure staff certifications remain current
Prepare for and support Department of Public Health (DPH) inspections
Respond to clinical incidents (falls, injuries, behavioral health concerns)
Support resident admissions assessments and discharge planning
Maintain visibility across shifts to support day, evening, and night staff handoffs
Provide on‑call coverage (primarily phone support; rare onsite weekends)
Compensation:
$100,000 to $110,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
5+ years RN experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role
Active CPR certification
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Experience working with elderly and/or mental health populations
Experience with AcuFlo or other eMAR systems
Comfort supervising and supporting LPNs and CNAs/attendants
Strong experience with physician orders, assessments, and care plan oversight
Ability to be hands‑on in a small‑staff, residential environment
Sound clinical judgment; calm and effective during emergencies
Willingness to provide on‑call support
High level of compassion, accountability, and respect for resident outcomes Experience overseeing medication administration by attendants
Medical/surgical or charge nurse background
Residential care home or assisted living experience
Experience supporting DPH surveys and inspections
Mental health exposure (bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder)
Public health nursing background
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
