The Endoscopy department offers upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for esophageal, stomach and duodenal disorders, wireless capsule endoscopy and balloon-assisted enteroscopy for intestinal disorders, colonoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for colonic disease, and ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound for pancreatic and biliary disorders. This is a highly experienced team of caregivers that collaborate on various endoscopy procedures to achieve excellent medical outcomes for patients.
A caregiver in this position works days and on-call from 7:00am to 5:30pm. One late night per week will be held past 5:30 pm. On-call on Friday will be start at 6:00pm, Friday through the weekend and then on Monday from 6:00am 6-7 times per year. Saturdays will be from 7:00am to 1:00pm once every 6 weeks and then on-call on Friday from 6:00pm through the weekend and on to Monday at 6:00am roughly 6-7 times per year. This role will be held at Crile and Q Building at Main Campus.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Collect, document and report patient data and observations.

Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.

Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.

Perform routine laboratory tests.

Educate patients and family members.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program

Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- One year of patient care experience
Physical Requirements:

Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.

Involves extensive standing and walking.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $23.25
Maximum hourly: $33.50
