GhostRx Inc. is seeking experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses to deliver high-acuity critical care to our veteran population at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (LSCVAMC) in Cleveland, Ohio. LSCVAMC is one of the largest VA medical centers in the country, the tertiary referral hospital for the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System, and a major academic affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. As a Critical Care RN on the GhostRx team, you'll work alongside board-certified intensivists, fellows, residents, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary teaching-hospital environment. In this role you will use the nursing process to assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based care to a mixed veteran population of varying acuity and complexity - including patients managing septic shock, acute respiratory failure, post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery, multi-organ dysfunction, traumatic brain injury, severe burns, complicated infections, and end-of-life critical care. The position demands advanced clinical judgment, technical competency with mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic monitoring, the ability to safely titrate vasoactive and sedation drips, and strong interpersonal skills for high-stakes, fast-moving clinical situations. ICU RNs respond to medical emergencies, participate in rapid response and code events, perform ACLS interventions, and provide compassionate education and emotional support to veterans and their families during what is often a profoundly difficult time. Critical care nurses at LSCVAMC continuously monitor heart rate, blood pressure, respirations, and oxygenation using cardiac and oxygen telemetry; manage mechanical ventilators and advanced airway equipment; and deliver enteral and parenteral nutrition as ordered. GhostRx is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) deeply committed to staffing federal healthcare facilities with clinicians who view caring for veterans as a calling. We offer competitive contract pay, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, and the opportunity to serve those who served our country. Schedules typically follow a 3 x 12-hour shift pattern (36 hours/week) on a 52-week contract, with rotating weekends and holidays as required by the unit. Cleveland offers an exceptional quality of life on the shores of Lake Erie. The region is home to a world-renowned medical community, championship professional sports (Browns, Cavaliers, Guardians, Monsters), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Playhouse Square - the largest performing arts center outside of New York City - and a celebrated dining, brewery, and craft food scene. Cost of living is well below the national average for a major U.S. metro, with family-friendly neighborhoods in suburbs like Lakewood, Rocky River, Beachwood, Solon, and Strongsville. Outdoor amenities include Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Lake Erie beaches, the Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace, and easy weekend access to Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Detroit.
