UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Cardiology team within the nationally renowned UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Williamsport. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative and experienced heart team.
In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact caring for a large and diverse patient population, with a balanced practice that includes both clinic and hospital-based care.

Hospital & call rotation with APP team

What You'll Do

Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both outpatient and inpatient settings

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions

Participate in hospital rounding and collaborate on inpatient care plans

Develop individualized care plans focused on quality outcomes

Educate patients and families on heart health and disease prevention

Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

Knowledge of growth and development principles

Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan

Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies

Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care

Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
-
Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
-
BSN required; MSN preferred
-
Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification
-

Physician Assistant (PA)

Graduation from an ARC‑PA-accredited Physician Assistant program

Bachelor's or master's degree preferred

Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification

Required for All APP Candidates

CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
