Job Description
LPN JOB DESCRIPTION
-
Provide care including services requiring sterile techniques.

Conducting medical diagnostic tests on candidates/employees for pre-employment, occupational health and/or return-to-work physicals, from various agencies - Testing includes the use of a variety of equipment, including blood pressure cuffs, vision machine(ortho-rater), hearing machine, electrocardiography (ECG)machine, respirator fit machine and spirometer (pulmonary).

Calibrating and adjusting instruments and recording test results independently.

Administer blood and blood products.

Packaging of blood specimens including chain of custody for blood alcohol.

Obtaining urine samples for drug testing, including a chain of custody forms.

Filing, copying, data entry and other clerical tasks.

Conduct vital signs and blood pressure checks.

Provide various pre-employment screenings (TB testing) and immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, TD, influenza) as requested and required by the employee's agency.

Serve as a resource area for health information.

Phlebotomy experience is required.
Must possess a valid New York State License and have a minimum of one-year work experience post licensure.
Duration of position - 6 months up to 1 year max.
