Job Title: Occupational Health NurseJob Description
The Occupational Health Nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing employee health case management and coordinating care with healthcare providers to support recovery and facilitate a smooth return to work after an injury or illness. This role reports to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department and collaborates closely with Human Resources, Workers' Compensation, and site leadership. Utilizing the EHS system Cority, the nurse will assess the need for further care or medical assessment, manage cases, schedule appointments, review respirator medical questionnaires, conduct fit-for-duty evaluations and employee interviews, perform ergonomic assessments, and lead health education initiatives.
Responsibilities

Triage reported employee illness or injury at the Jacksonville facilities.

Coordinate care, follow-up appointments, restrictions, and return-to-work requirements between employees, HR, and local occupational health providers.

Participate in evaluations with EHS for work-relatedness determinations.

Ensure adherence to required care plans.

Coordinate medical monitoring related to noise exposure or respiratory protection.

Coordinate wellness programs with HR, including the development of wellness educational campaigns.

Manage workers' compensation cases and programs in collaboration with providers, payers, and other departments.

Communicate effectively with HR, EHS, Workers' Comp coordinators, and leadership.
Essential Skills

Registered Nurse license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

COHN or COHN-S certification is preferred, but not required.

Experience in telehealth.

1+ year of nursing experience in operations or manufacturing (Occupational Health).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
