How you'll make an impact in this role

Drive improved glycemic control by delivering nurse-led education that significantly lowers HbA1c levels and reduces long-term diabetes complications.

Equip patients with essential survival skills and effective discharge planning, leading to lower hospital readmission rates.

Empower individuals to manage their diabetes confidently through tailored education on diet, lifestyle, and medication adherence.

Enhance patient engagement and outcomes by providing hands-on training with advanced diabetes technologies such as CGMs and insulin delivery systems.
What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certified Educator specializing in Diabetes Management preferred.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking

Demonstrated passion for patient education in diabetes management, including short- and long-term complications, behavior modification, and nutrition

Prior experience in diabetes management (professional or personal)

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients with varying levels of health literacy

Experience with motivational interviewing and behavior change coaching
