Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Practice
A private primary care practice in Oviedo, Florida is seeking a compassionate, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing team. This is a permanent, outpatient position with consistent 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday-no nights, weekends, or holidays-providing strong work-life balance. Working collaboratively with our physicians and clinical staff, the NP will provide advanced, patient-centered primary care to an established patient panel, with an emphasis on health assessment, chronic disease management, preventive care, and health education.
Qualification and Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with Nurse Practitioner specialization

Active, unrestricted Florida APRN license
-
National board certification (AANP or ANCC), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred

Current DEA registration / Florida prescriptive authority

1-2+ years of experience in primary care or family practice preferred

Current BLS certification

Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Strong clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities

Obtain health histories and perform comprehensive physical exams and assessments

Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions

Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic treatments within scope of practice

Provide routine check-ups, immunizations, and preventive screenings

Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and health management

Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Coordinate care and refer to specialists when appropriate

Maintain accurate and current patient records in the EHR

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver coordinated, holistic care
