Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Specialty Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the physician/medical director, you will assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within your scope of practice. This includes taking patient's history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis, and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention.
Every day, you may assist with patient admission, transfer, or discharge. You will make appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies, and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans. In addition to routine duties, you will provide care and management for acutely ill patients, respond to emergency situations, and may see patients in intensive care units or other high-acuity settings.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically deliver comprehensive, specialized patient care, assuming clinical responsibility for assessing, diagnosing, and managing common illnesses and acute conditions, often in critical care settings. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise in performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans, while actively participating in quality assurance and ensuring appropriate referrals and care management.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) serves as an advanced practice nurse, providing primary and specialty healthcare services to patients across the lifespan. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the NP delivers comprehensive care, promotes health education, and advocates for patient wellness.

Including: taking patients history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the pediatric and adult patient.

The NP may assist in the admission transfer or discharge from Health Care System.

Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.

Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program.

Works within multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family.
Job Requirements
Required
-
Master's in Nursing ;Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners

Three (3) years clinical experience in area of specialty

Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN)

Arizona Advance Practice Nurse license (LIC APN)

National Certificate as an Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations:

a.) CT NP-AACN,
-
b.) CT NP-AANP,
-
c.) CT NP-ANCC, or
-
d) CT NP-PNCB
-
Valid DEA registration (DEA)
-
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (CT BLS)
Preferred
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (CT ACLS)

$113,900 - $187,928/year
