At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a clinical nurse manager to join our team in occupational health.
The primary responsibility of the clinical nurse manager is: In collaboration with the Occupational Health Provider, this individual is responsible for patient flow and overall day-to-day operations that impact the occupational health department at Valley Regional Hospital and Mt. Ascutney Hospital. Provides direct oversight of care to support patient and staff needs. Serves as a role model and leader to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices.

Collaborates and assists with operations by functioning as the first line supervisor to staff. Acts as a resource to staff to provide direct assistance.

Participates in the performance management of staff members, including coaching, preparation of performance evaluations, and the performance management process.

Works with the staff to facilitate patient flow and to optimize clinical capacity.

Determines when and how to flex staff schedules to provide clinical coverage.

Conducts periodic environmental surveillance and participates in regulatory readiness activities to assure compliance with CMS regulations, best practices, and Occ. Health policies/procedures.

Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Nursing program required.

Active RN License in the State of Vermont and New Hampshire

2 years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability required.

Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within the assigned unit.

BLS required within 3 months of hire
-
BAT and Urine Specimen Collection Certification-Must obtain within 3 months of hire.
