We're hiring an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a travel contract at Psych Unit, a specialized youth crisis stabilization unit in Tallahassee, FL. ?? Position Overview The BEACH Unit provides short-term (3-5 day) crisis stabilization and psychiatric care for youth in a secure, structured environment. This role focuses on crisis resolution, safety, and connecting patients and families to ongoing support. ?? Schedule Shift: Nights (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM) Schedule: 36/48 rotating (weekdays & weekends) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: June 29, 2026 ?? Compensation $43/hour ?? Responsibilities Provide psychiatric nursing care to pediatric/adolescent patients Conduct assessments and support crisis stabilization Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for treatment planning Facilitate patient and family education Document care using myAvatar® (Netsmart) ? Requirements Active RN license (state of practice) 1+ year psychiatric nursing experience (required) Current CPR certification TB screening (PPD or chest X-ray, if applicable) Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements Minimum age: 18 ??
