These positions are part of a summer program offering flexible schedules in middle, elementary, and high school settings.

Middle School Nurse

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Role: General school nursing duties supporting middle school students
High School Nurse

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Role: Full-day coverage providing general nursing care in a high school setting
Elementary School Nurse
Key Responsibilities

Provide general school nursing care and health services

Administer medications and treatments as needed

Respond to student health concerns and emergencies

Maintain accurate health records and documentation

Collaborate with school staff, families, and administrators
Qualifications

Active Massachusetts RN or LPN license

School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently in a school setting

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program

Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing

One year of professional experience, preferred

Current CPR
-
PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
