Position Overview:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides inpatient medical care within the scope of licensure, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to manage hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating overall patient care. This role focuses on caring for a medically complex adult population in a hospital setting, with exposure to hematology/oncology patients.
Minimum Requirements:

Current, active Nurse Practitioner license in state of practice required

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through a nationally accredited organization (AANP, ANCC, or equivalent) required

Inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred (hospitalist, internal medicine, ICU, or similar setting)

Oncology or hematology experience preferred, but not required

Ability to independently manage patient care including rounding, admissions, and discharges

Current BLS certification required

Must meet all federal, state, and local credentialing requirements

Maintain collaborative agreements as required by state law

Ability to work full-time day shifts, including a rotating weekend schedule

Must be at least 18 years of age
