Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies for cardiac and vascular surgeries.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical technologists throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes during surgery.
- Accurately document perioperative care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the facility.
