School Nurse / Health Services Nurse
Location: Hawthorne
Schedule:
Summer Assignment until July 30th: Half-Day
School Year beginning August 19th: Full School Day
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Credentialed School Nurse , Registered Nurse (RN) , or a highly experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) interested in working in a school setting. This position supports approximately 20 students in a specialized health program and plays a key role in ensuring their health needs are met throughout the school day.
Responsibilities

Ensure students' individualized health plans are implemented and followed by classroom teams.

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.

Coordinate with physicians to obtain, review, and update student health plans and medical orders.

Maintain accurate health records and documentation.

Provide nursing support and health-related guidance to school staff as needed.

Promote a safe and healthy learning environment for students.
Qualifications

- Strong LVN candidates with extensive pediatric, school-based, or related nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with children and adolescents.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience managing and coordinating individualized student health plans.
Compensation
Pay rate varies based on position, credentials, and experience.
