Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP)/OBGYN/Adjoint Assistant Professor/Part Time - 40479 Faculty
The Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an opening for a 0.2 part-time faculty at the rank of Adjoint Assistant Professor for a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide inpatient clinical care in obstetrics and gynecology as a member of the University's Women Care (UWC) practice. Inpatient duties include working on labor and delivery one night a week managing obstetric and postpartum patients. This job involves the education of residents, advanced practice providers, and/or medical students. There is a potential for outpatient work although emphasis will initially be on inpatient practice.Successful candidates must demonstrate competency obtaining patient histories, physical examination, and the assessment and development of appropriate plans of care in the Ob-Gyn clinical setting. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, with primary care providers, specialists, and team members to meet the comprehensive needs of patients. Specific duties/skills include, but are not limited to:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or midwifery

Active AMCB certification

Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado

Prescriptive authority required.

Must have Colorado licensures registered with DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) by date of hire.

Seven (7) or more years clinical experience in practice as a CNM in Obstetrical/Gynecological care

Demonstrates meritorious or excellent achievements in several of the following areas: teaching, clinical activity, research, service, and scholarship

Experience as a clinical educator
