Remote coastal location with access to outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, and camping

Located near the Washington coast with easy access to beaches and outdoor activities

Previous ER, Med Surg, or Critical Care experience preferred

Schedule
-
Most facilities operate on a 5x8 schedule (five 8-hour shifts per week)

Day, evening, and night shifts may be available depending on facility needs
Responsibilities
-
Provide direct patient care within a correctional healthcare setting
-
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
-
Assist with infirmary care, sick call, chronic care management, and emergency response
-
Accurately document patient care and communicate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
-
Maintain compliance with facility policies and nursing standards
Minimum Requirements
-
Active Washington LPN License or compact License
-
Minimum of 2 years of LPN experience
-
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
-
Ability to pass all facility clearance requirements
-
Flexibility to work assigned shifts based on facility needs
Clearance Process All candidates must complete a Corrections clearance process prior to being submitted for open assignments. Clearance is required for consideration at any facility and can take several weeks to complete. Many healthcare professionals choose to begin the clearance process in advance so they can be considered for both current and upcoming opportunities.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
Minimum Requirements:

Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state

Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred

Current CPR if applicable
-
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
