JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC-RN) serves as the lead clinical study coordinator on research protocols. The CRC may also assist with additional protocols. Serves as a liaison between the organization, investigators, research sponsors and investigational subjects. Under the direction of an investigator, the CRC is responsible for the planning, implementation and oversight of a variety of clinical trials, maintaining compliance with all applicable institutional, state and federal regulations. The CRC's primary responsibilities are related to study management which includes supervising and educating the study team, subject recruitment and protocol implementation strategies, preparing study source documents, flowcharts and checklists, monitoring study team compliance and executing the research protocol clinical procedures. Independently applies the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of research in the pediatric population. Functions as a role model at the expert level of clinical and research practice, characterized by viewing situations as a whole, advanced clinical skills, teaching/mentoring of peers and direct reports and professional contributions to research. The CRC reports directly to the Investigator and to the Clinical Trials Program Manager and supervises the activities of research nurses and non-licensed personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
California RN License
Two years of pediatrics or clinical research experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
CA Physical Therapist License
CA Registered Pharmacist
Three years of pediatrics and clinical research experience
The current salary range for this position is $71.31 to $99.17
