Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will join a well-established Physician Group, Ridgeside Medical, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Every day, you will apply your expertise to provide comprehensive primary/specialty care for adults. This involves meticulous patient assessment, the development of individualized treatment plans, and continuous patient education to promote health and manage chronic diseases effectively.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically diagnose and treat adult illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and provide comprehensive primary/specialty care under the supervision of a physician. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and EHR proficiency, meticulously performing exams, ordering tests, and prescribing medications while collaborating effectively with physicians, thereby optimizing health outcomes for adult patients.

Conduct thorough physical exams and take detailed medical histories.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).

Develop, implement, and manage patient treatment plans.

Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.

Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
We are offering a competitive base salary, a generous CME allowance that includes 40 hours of time away, sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Required

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Active or eligible License and DEA in the state of Tennessee

Current AHA Basic Life Support certification
Preferred

1-3 years previous experience (or equivalent experience) as an Advanced Practice Provider in an acute or primary care setting
