You will collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive health services and advocate for student well-being.
Key Responsibilities

Assess and monitor student health needs within the school setting.

Provide direct nursing care and emergency intervention when needed.

Develop and implement individualized health plans.

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies.

Promote health education, wellness, and disease prevention initiatives.

Coordinate care with parents, school staff, and community healthcare providers.

Identify health-related barriers to learning and connect students with appropriate resources.

Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Current School Nurse Certification or Credential (required).

Minimum of one (1) year of school nursing experience.

Pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Current CPR certification, if applicable.
-
Current TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray, if applicable.

Current Health Certificate, as required by state regulations or contract.

Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
