Join a well-established oncology program with a respected regional healthcare organization seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing outpatient opportunity. The provider will manage a panel of hematology and oncology patients, including follow-up visits, treatment management, and select new patient evaluations. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP who enjoys building patient relationships, working within a multidisciplinary team, and providing comprehensive cancer care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments, evaluations, and follow-up visits

Manage treatment plans and coordinate ongoing oncology care

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies and laboratory results

Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease management

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document encounters accurately within the electronic medical record
Minimum Requirements

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Active state license or ability to obtain licensure prior to start

Minimum 3 years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience preferred

Chemotherapy certification required

Experience managing complex oncology patients

Strong care coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Current BLS certification

Ability to meet all facility credentialing requirements
