Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support student health services within a school setting. This individual will be responsible for providing nursing care and treatment to students, administering medications safely and accurately, and supporting the implementation of student health plans.
The LPN will utilize medical equipment and nursing procedures to deliver skilled care, assist with health assessments, and communicate effectively with students, parents, physicians, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and possess the ability to communicate with students at their cognitive level while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding health-related matters.
Additional responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of individualized health plans, educating and teaching selected students on approved healthcare procedures, maintaining accurate health records, and ensuring compliance with applicable state and district health regulations.

Skills and Requirements
- Licensure as a Practical Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code
- 2+ years of pediatric, public health, or school health experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Florida Driver's License or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment (unless accommodation is required)
- Experience administering medications safely and accurately
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, physicians, healthcare professionals, faculty, and administrators
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student health information - Prior school-based nursing experience
- Experience assisting with health assessments and individualized health plans
- Experience teaching students healthcare-related procedures
