How you'll make an impact in this role

Setting: Outpatient OB/GYN clinic

Schedule: PRN: 8-hour shifts,8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Weekends: No weekends

Call: No call responsibilities

Extended Hours: No evenings or extended clinic hours

Patient Volume: Approximately18-25 patients per day

Appointment Length: 15- and 30-minute appointments

Practice Pace: Very fast-paced and busy

Patient Population: Unique and diverse patient population

Patient Mix: Strong combination ofOB and GYN care

Practice Environment: Busy, collaborative outpatient clinic with a varied patient population

Collaborate with physicians to expand individualized primary healthcare services.

Diagnose and treat a variety ofacute and chronic health conditions.
-
Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations.

Order, perform, and interpret appropriatediagnostic studies and laboratory testing.

Provide preventive healthcare services, including:

Health assessments and screenings
-
Immunizations
-
Preventive counseling
-
Ongoing patient care and health maintenance
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including appropriatereferrals to healthcare providers and community resources.

Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers regarding:

Preventive health and wellness

Treatment options

Disease management
-
Available community resources

Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing processes in accordance withspecialty-specific standards and network nursing policies.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
