Shift Details:
Nursing Specialty: RN Corrections
Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:
-
RNs will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adolescents with acute and chronic medical conditions, behavioral health concerns, substance use disorders, and developmental needs.

RNs will be conducting intake health screenings, administering medications and treatments, responding to medical emergencies, monitoring youth in medical observation, coordinating care with physicians and mental health professionals, maintaining accurate health records, and providing age-appropriate health. Individuals should be comfortable working in a locked forensic environment with frequent interactions with law enforcement.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum of one (1) year related experience within the last 3 years

Valid BLS
-
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City)

Completion of the LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to assignment.

Additional certifications may be required

Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g.,BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
