Responsibilities
-
Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Conduct health assessments, intake screenings, and ongoing patient evaluations.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
-
Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses.
-
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
-
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, correctional staff, and interdisciplinary teams.

Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Ensure compliance with applicable nursing standards, regulations, and facility protocols.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Current and unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
-
BLS certification required.
-
Previous correctional, emergency room, psychiatric, medical-surgical, or public health experience preferred.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
-
Current and unrestricted North Carolina LPN license.

BLS certification required.

Previous correctional, long-term care, emergency, or clinical nursing experience preferred.
