Shift Details:
Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery RN
Registered Nurse L&D Duties & Responsibilities:

RNs will monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting fetal heart rate patterns, administering medications and managing labor support interventions, and assisting with deliveries.

RNs will be responding to obstetric emergencies, supporting pain management strategies such as epidural care, providing education and emotional support to patients and families, and ensuring safe transitions to postpartum or newborn care.

RNs will provide comprehensive nursing care to women at various stages of pregnancy, and labor in the Labor and Delivery unit, triage area and operating suites to service women delivering by C-section, conducting DNE and DNC, tubal ligations, caring for patients in a three-bed recovery area, and may be floated to Mother-Baby Unit.
Minimum Qualifications:

Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum of one (1) year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience in a community-based acute care hospital.

AHA BLS/ACLS/NRP,
-
Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification,
-
NIHSS Certification,
-
MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City),

Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
