The Pediatric ICU/CCU RN is a member of the Critical Care Department and manages patients with multi- system failure and a variety of life-threatening illnesses. The Pediatric ICU/CCU nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients and is responsible to the Clinical Manager or client facility designee.
Minimum Requirements:

Current RN license in good standing in state of practice

One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU or emergency medicine required

Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testing process
-
Prefers evidence of ACLS, PALS, NRP certification

Shows evidence of CEU requirements for the state of practice

Demonstrates the ability to assume a leadership role in a crisis situation
-
Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care
-
Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth and development needs across the specific unit of assignment

Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment

Demonstrates a full range of body motion in a regular performance of duties on a daily basis

Must be able to work with frequent interruptions

1-3 years complex job related experience

PALS, BLS, and ACLS, as required.

Details of Assignment: Dept: Float-M Critical Care - we do expect them to float between hospitals, if needed, although we do our best to keep them in one location for their shift Shift: Variable 12 hour Days/Eves/Nights Weekends: Every other required Call: No Uniform: Royal blue scrub bottoms and kid-friendly/scrub top Requirements: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, MN RN license, BLS cert, PALS cert, two years PICU nursing experience which includes the ability to care for: pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, and trauma patients, or two years pediatric CVICU nursing experience and competent to care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients. Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
