Manage and coordinate health services for students in a grades 11-12 residential high school, with a primary focus on medication management and administration. Assess student health needs; provide nursing care, first aid, referrals, and follow-up; maintain health plans and confidential records; coordinate care between school and residential settings; train and oversee staff performing delegated health functions; provide health education and consultation; and ensure compliance with applicable laws, nursing standards, and school policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Minnesota.

Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Knowledge and ability to safely manage, administer, document, and monitor medications and treatments.

Ability to access student health needs, provide appropriate nursing care, and recognize when referral or follow-up as needed.
-
Ability to communicate effectively and build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
-
Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and accurate health records, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience as a school nurse, public health nurse, or in a school-based health setting.
-
Experience working with high school students and supporting students with a range of health and mental health needs.
-
Experience working with students in a residential, boarding school, or similar setting.

CPR Train the Trainer certification or willingness to obtain certification.
-
Experience developing and implementing individual health plans and coordinating care with families, health care providers, and school staff.

Experience providing health education, staff training, or consultation related to student health and wellness.
