Clinical Review Nurse (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Review Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team. In this fully remote role, you will evaluate medical records, determine medical necessity, and ensure healthcare services align with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives.
What You'll Do
Conduct medical necessity and utilization reviews
Review clinical documentation, treatment plans, and healthcare services
Apply InterQual, MCG, and evidence-based clinical guidelines
Collaborate with providers, physicians, and care management teams
Document findings accurately while meeting quality and turnaround standards
Support compliance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Help improve member outcomes and cost-effective care delivery
What We're Looking For
Active, unrestricted Compact RN License
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
2+ years of Utilization Management (UM) experience
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, or Commercial Health Plans
Knowledge of InterQual, MCG, or other clinical decision-support tools
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
