Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our senior living community. This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, administering medications, coordinating resident care, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving the elderly population and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-Administer medications according to physician orders and maintain accurate medication records.
-Complete resident assessments and assist with the development of individualized service plans.
-Monitor changes in residents' health conditions and ensure concerns are evaluated, documented, and addressed.
-Perform nursing procedures within the appropriate scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations.
-Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
-Review resident records to ensure documentation accurately reflects concerns, interventions, and outcomes.
-Communicate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers.
-Support infection-control practices and maintain a safe, healthy environment.
-Assist with supervising wellness department employees who provide daily resident care.
-Provide orientation and ongoing training to team members as requested.
-Prepare written and verbal reports within required timeframes.

Skills and Requirements
-Active LPN license in good standing with the applicable state licensing authority.
-Ability to administer medications and perform nursing procedures within the appropriate scope of practice.
-Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
-Ability to recognize and respond to changes in a resident's condition.
-Ability to work scheduled hours and remain available by phone for questions involving medical concerns. -1-3+ years of nursing experience in assisted living, senior care, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
-Experience developing resident care plans.
-Supervisory or training experience.
-Knowledge of state regulations related to senior living communities.
-Experience participating in resident and family care conferences.
-Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
