The Preoperative Registered Nurse works as a professional
practitioner employed by Amergis Healthcare Staffing and assumes the
responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process
and the delivery of patient care in the preoperative setting. The Preoperative Registered Nurse demonstrates
the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner
with supervision.
The Preoperative Registered Nurse demonstrates critical
thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and
consistently performs according to nursing standards. The Preoperative Registered Nurse is
accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of
the preoperative patient.
Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices required

One year of preoperative experience preferred

Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
