Weekday and Weekend Coverage Required
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients experiencing mental health and behavioral health crises

Complete patient assessments and ongoing evaluations

Administer medications and treatments as ordered

Develop and coordinate individualized care plans

Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals

Support patients and families throughout the treatment process

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the myAvatar® by Netsmart charting system
-
Promote patient safety, recovery, and emotional well-being
Required Qualifications
-
Active RN license
-
Minimum 1 year of Psychiatric RN experience required

Current CPR certification, if applicable

Current health records and TB screening, as required

Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

About the Assignment
This behavioral health unit provides short-term crisis stabilization and psychiatric services for youth experiencing acute mental health needs. The program focuses on rapid intervention, stabilization, treatment planning, and connecting patients and families with ongoing community resources and outpatient support. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medical treatment, counseling services, psychological assessments, and discharge planning.
