Responsibilities
- The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
- This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
- This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
- The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
- Licensed Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey or a valid Nursing Compacted License required.
- Active certifications required(American Red Cross or American Heart Association
issued):- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Advance Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required.
- 2 years’ experience required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification, with successful completion of
certification within 6 months of hire - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP), with successful completion of
Certification within 6 months of hire
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
