Join our Labor and Delivery team at UPMC as a part time Licensed Practical Nurse! This is a night shift position that includes rotating holiday and weekend shifts.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus to qualified candidates! Experienced LPNs can get $7,500 with a 2-year commitment, and grad PNs, $5,000 with a 2-year commitment.
The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate rate and title by the recruitment team.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:

Exercise sound nursing judgment based on your preparation, knowledge, and experience.

Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care using focused assessment.

Act within LPN Practice guidelines, including IVs, to create a healing environment.

Formulate daily goals and care plans for patients, considering their individual needs.

Communicate patient conditions to other care providers and ensure comprehensive documentation.

Provide patient and family education for effective care transitions.

Graduation from a State Board of Nursing approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program.

0-2 years of experience.

Completion of IV therapy curriculum within 4 months of hire/transfer. Ability to take nurse assignments at the top of LPN license in med/surg/tele or Emergency Department settings.

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
