UPMC McKeesport is seeking a Full-Time Staff Nurse to support our 3M Medical/Surgical Unit through our Weekend Program. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy full-time benefits while working weekend hours only.
Position Highlights

Schedule: 24 hours per week

Between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday

Required to work 48 out of 52 weekends annually

Role Overview
The Professional Staff Nurse (RN) is a key member of the care delivery team, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires independent clinical judgment, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to compassionate, relationship-based care. You will partner with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes across the continuum of care.

Minimum 6 months experience.

BSN preferred.

Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.

Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.

Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.

Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in the application of the nursing process. Mobility and visual manual dexterity.

Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire for the following units: ED, CVU, ICU and 5M.

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

ACLS required within 6 months

NIH required within 6 months

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
