Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (35 hours/week)
Compensation: Up to $50/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Summer Camp program. This role will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of campers and staff during the summer season. The RN will provide basic medical care, respond to minor injuries and illnesses, and maintain accurate health records in a dynamic, youth-focused environment.

Camp Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 21, 2026

Pre-Camp Availability: Part-time hours available starting June 1, 2026

Required Dates: Must attend professional development days on June 24 and June 25, 2026

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide on-site nursing care for campers and staff, including first aid and management of minor illnesses/injuries

Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and program policies

Maintain and update health records, incident reports, and medication logs

Monitor campers with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, allergies) and respond to emergencies as needed

Collaborate with camp leadership to ensure a safe and healthy camp environment

Educate staff on basic health, safety, and hygiene practices

Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations
Qualifications
-
Active Massachusetts RN license
-
Previous experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or camp settings preferred

Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly

Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promoting the health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis' philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment

Bachelor's Degree, preferred

School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract

One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
