The Transitional Support Unit (4 North) at UPMC Hamot is an 11-bed medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who are medically stable and awaiting discharge. This unique unit provides nurses with the opportunity to build strong patient relationships while delivering quality inpatient care. It is an excellent setting for nurses who enjoy caring for patients with longer lengths of stay and coordinating care across the continuum.

Position Highlights

Full-Time
Rotating Schedule: 50% Day Shift (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and 50% Night Shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Every Other Holiday
72 Weekend Hours Required Within a 6-Week Scheduling Period
1 Year of Prior Nursing Experience Highly Preferred

About the Role

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and an essential member of the care delivery team. In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care while serving as a patient advocate, educator, and clinical leader. Through collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families, you will help achieve optimal patient outcomes and ensure a seamless care experience.

Minimum starting rate for a non-BSN Professional Staff Nurse: $36.50 per hour
