NP/PA PRN Opportunity
Summary:
To provide primary medical care, under the supervision of a physician, and assist patients to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Responsibilities:

Assesses the patient's condition by obtaining a complete medical history obtaining physical data and reviewing the patients medical record.

Follows accepted standards of medical practice and follows departmental policies and procedures to assure service with proper risk management.

Orders the appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures required to evaluate the illness.

Interprets and integrates data to determine the appropriate diagnosis and therapeutic treatment plan.

Consults with supervising physicians in accordance with policies and medical standards to assure patient and physician satisfaction.

Records all symptoms, objective findings, assessment, treatment plan and other information that is appropriate in the patient's chart, reviews and signs the record.

Instructs the patient and family regarding the patients diagnosis, testing, treatment, expected outcome and future prevention.

Evaluates the outcome of the treatment plan by reviewing the diagnostic results, calling the patient and/or requesting a return visit.

Performs organizational responsibilities to achieve the organization's mission through a process of total quality improvement.

Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Skills Experience:
Required: CT State PA license. DEA/State controlled substance required.
